With many banks in existence on Saint Kitts & Nevis, students are encouraged to open a student checking account, and maintain an adequate amount of money to provide for food and utilities. Wire transfers, ATM's and check cashing are all readily available; however, personal checks may take as long as 6-weeks to clear.
